Dhuvaahithun app
Development of Dhuvaahithun charity run app
A web app for Dhuvaahithun, the charity run held for ADK Hospital's 35th anniversary.
It does four things. It runs the countdown to the event. It registers participants. It takes submitted run data from each participant and adds it to a collective total, so the event has a live figure rather than one counted afterwards. And it tracks pledged amounts against that total, which is the part that turns distance into money raised.
There is also a lucky draw for participants, drawn from the registered entrants.
The reason it is one app rather than a form and a spreadsheet is that all four of those things reference the same list of people. Once registration, distance, pledges and the draw share a participant record, the total on the screen is the total, and nobody has to reconcile anything on the morning of the run.
